What You’ll Do
- Assess and approve deposit bond applications in line with credit policies
- Analyse credit reports, financials, contracts of sale, and other supporting docs
- Make clear decisions and recommendations within or beyond delegated limits
- Partner with brokers, customers, and internal teams to progress applications
- Support and mentor junior assessors and Customer Experience Managers
- Contribute to ongoing refinement of credit policies and fraud risk strategies
What You Bring
- 5+ years in credit assessment, underwriting, or residential lending
- Strong understanding of mortgage processes and credit risk principles
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Experience assessing complex applications including self-employed and investors
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach and commitment to accuracy
- A passion for delivering customer-centric outcomes while managing risk
