WOW Recruitment is seeking a solutions-focused Business Operations Manager to support the General Manager of a well-established, metal industry business based in Western Sydney.

This role is perfect for a highly organised professional with a strong background in senior administration or executive support roles.

  • Office based - Western Sydney
  • 8.00am to 4.30pm - 5 days
  • Salary: $90-110k + Super
  • Join a close, collaborative group where everyone values each other’s contributions
This is not your typical support role – it's less about managing endless travel or a back-to-back diary, and more about being a steady operational support who understands the business.

You’ll bring a blend of administrative strength, financial literacy, and great communication skills, acting as a critical connector across HR, Finance, and the broader team.

With a strong team of 35 dedicated individuals and an average tenure of 22 years, the business prides itself on its respectful culture, deep client relationships, and quality-driven approach.

Your Role:
  • Support the General Manager in daily operations, with a focus on administration, communication, and coordination across the business.
  • Assist with HR and Finance-related admin, including onboarding processes, payroll support, and supplier management.
  • Draft professional correspondence and assist with internal documentation and process updates.
  • Monitor and uphold client experience standards.
  • Maintain clear communication between departments and act as a go-to for team-wide queries.
  • Manage light calendar, travel, and email coordination for the GM, ensuring priorities and deliverables are met

About You:
  • Experienced in executive or senior admin support, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or similar sectors.
  • Strong administrative skills with a practical understanding of finance and accounting (experience with Xero highly regarded but not essential).
  • Confident using the Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Experience in management day to day office operations
  • A self-starter who is respectful, calm under pressure, and values structure and consistency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to make sensible decisions autonomously.
  • Friendly, professional and calm presence ensuring a well organised, efficient and welcoming work environment.

Perks and Benefits:
  • Respected, long-standing team  – Join a close, collaborative group where everyone values each other’s contributions.
  • Purpose-driven work  – Contribute to Australia’s capability through a business that blends tradition with innovation in  advanced manufacturing and engineering.
  • Genuinely balanced hours  – 8.00am to 4.30pm means exactly that. No after-hours expectations.
  • Hands-on impact  – On-site role with direct access to leadership and the  factory floor, where your work makes a visible difference every day in production and operations.
  • Proudly Australian  – Locally owned company built on quality, relationships, and pride in what they make.
